#4.) Kevin Owens
It would be a lie to say that Kevin Owens wasn’t in any significant storyline. He and Sami Zayn started off the year by challenging for the WWE title, albeit in two unsuccessful attempts. They were then involved in a feud with Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan, who had just been cleared to return to the ring.
After being exiled from SmackDown Live, Owens attempted to win the Money In The Bank but failed. He was involved in a fun feud with Braun Strowman until eventually losing. After that, he had a brief feud with Bobby Lashley, but turned out to be injured and was subsequently written off television.
Given the success that Owens has had since his main roster return, 2018 undoubtedly turned out to be his most disappointing year so far. There was so much more they could have done with him, including a potential title run. Hopefully, his return from injury will see a big turning point.
