#2.) Daniel Bryan’s heel turn
This was a huge shock, but a welcome one. Daniel Bryan had been in a few feuds since his return but wasn’t particularly setting the world on fire. Regardless, he found himself in the WWE title picture and after a second attempt at AJ Styles, he finally won the big one. Except, it wasn’t clean.
Bryan hit a low blow to Styles and then finished him, ending a year-long reign as WWE Champion. Bryan then began a post-match attack and fans knew that this wasn’t the same Daniel Bryan that they knew, loved and supported. Bryan then started going by the moniker “The New Daniel Bryan”.
Reportedly, Bryan had pitched for a heel turn himself. It worked, and how!
