The rumors were running high about WCW star Chris Jericho signing with the WWF. Weeks leading up to it, there was a ticking clock saying “Countdown to the new millennium”. It led to Chris Jericho making an all-time great WWE debut, confronting none other than The Great One – The Rock.
The fact that he debuted and confronted the biggest star in the company (alongside Steve Austin) made him seem all the more of a big deal. Though he didn’t win that exchange, it certainly ranks up as a classic moment, hearing Y2J say “RAW IS JERICHO!” for the very first time.
