When John Morrison left WWE in 2011, it came as quite a surprise. But according to him, he wasn’t released nor did he leave – he simply let his contract expire. While he did state that WWE made him a couple of offers, he wasn’t satisfied and didn’t seem willing to work the 250-day schedule, as he also wanted to pursue acting.
Moreover, he also wanted some creative control over his character, so one can understand why he decided not to re-sign with the company.
