In Edge’s own words, main eventing WrestleMania 24 against The Undertaker was the ultimate moment of validation for him. It was a reward for the years of work that he had put in. Thousands of miles on the road, being away from home, the physical and mental sacrifices – all paid off.
He may not have won the match but to main event in the Grandest Stage Of Them All against the greatest to ever do it? Losing doesn’t really mean much. It was the pinnacle of Edge’s career and even after this, he would go on to win multiple world titles.
