Now you’re probably going to wonder why an unexpected retirement makes it so high in the list. Here’s why. While it is true that Edge was forced into retirement due to several neck-related issues catching up to him, look at the circumstances in which he left. He was World Heavyweight Champion, in his 11th reign with a world title in WWE.
Not many superstars can say that they’ve gone out on top but Edge certainly can. The retirement speech was a tear-jerker and it was an absolute heartbreak to see him go out on terms that weren’t his. But the terms in which he did go out wasn’t all that bad. It was the seal on one of the most incredible careers in WWE history.
