#4.) vs Roderick Strong – Death Before Dishonor IX

Eddie Edwards and Roderick Strong were set to go head-to-head in a “Ringmaster Challenge” 2-out-of-3 falls match to earn a #1 contenders spot for the ROH World Championship. Little did either competitor realize the extent of the war that they were about to get into.

Roderick Strong would win the first-fall when he landed the release suplex backbreaker. Edwards would get the equalizer via submission through the Achilles lock. They reached the time limit and Jim Cornette even asked if they wanted to continue, with both agreeing that they did. They were determined to have a winner, even if one of them were to get killed.

Ultimately, Edwards prevailed after 42 minutes of struggle. It was a war that neither would forget.
