Brock Lesnar’s debut year would see him skyrocket to the top in just months as he became WWE Champion. After running through several WWE legends, he was faced with one of his toughest tasks as he took on Big Show. Paul Heyman, throughout the feud, seemed unsure whether Lesnar would be able to defeat The Big Show.
His suspicions turned out to be fraud as he turned on Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series, helping Big Show to defeat Brock Lesnar. Though Big Show lost the title a month later to Kurt Angle, their heated rivalry would continue as they battled at Royal Rumble to earn a spot in the match. Lesnar was victorious and ended up winning the Royal Rumble.
