#5.) Bobby Roode‘s ‘Glorious Domination’ theme song was meant for Nakamura
That’s right. Hard to imagine Shinsuke Nakamura walking out to ‘Glorious’, isn’t it? In an interview with ESPN, Nakamura stated that he was sent the sample of ‘Glorious’ first, but didn’t like it and had to run through a few more samples before landing on one.
Before my debut, WWE sent me a sample of the music and I sent it back. I said, ‘I don’t want to use this, I don’t want to use this.’ They tried to keep it and I said, ‘No, no, no.’ Finally, I asked them if they could listen to some samples, and we went back and forth and finally they sent me what you hear now, and I said, ‘Yes, OK. I’ll use this one.’
Thankfully, CFO$ hit it on point when it came to Nakamura’s theme song. It would go on to become one of the most popular WWE theme songs, with fans singing along with it week after week. It certainly was a great successor to his NJPW theme song.
