What To Do With Baron Corbin?
Two losses in a row to Sami Zayn is not doing any good for Baron Corbin. Zayn rolls him with a surprise win after a quick bout. After the match, Baron unleashed chair shot to his rival and attacked Zayn around the ring. As much as I understand giving the win to Sami Zayn and having Baron Corbin attack him after, when will WWE actually give Baron Corbin a real win?
He should have won at WrestleMania. He should have won at Backlash. He should have won tonight. This is a guy that has main evented Smackdown Live shows against AJ Styles, John Cena and Randy Orton. With the lack of true heels on Smackdown Live, he needs to be pushed up the ladder. Proving himself on a weekly basis is the norm for him. Furthermore, even though he should be booked stronger he better learn how to use a chair and attack someone. He looks like he is being too safe, trying not to hurt anyone. That is a dumb way to tone your skills inside and outside of the ring. There needs to be more aggression and more “real” looking physicality from Baron Corbin.
What can you do? Easy… make him a Money in the Bank winner.
Punjabi Celebration
Jinder Mahal makes his way to the ring with his people dancing all around him and around the ring. He cuts a promo talking about being the greatest WWE Champion of all time. He says nobody will hijack his celebration and begins to talk in his language of Punjabi. He begins to celebrate, with fireworks going off and the pomp and circumstance of his victory taking over Toledo.
It was simple, effective and makes him feel important. It reminded me of when WWE tried to make Alberto Del Rio the face of the show and him celebrating his championship win. There is no need, tonight, for interference from Randy Orton and no need for anyone to disrupt this. Let the champion actually celebrate and have the fans want to see Randy Orton, not need to see him.
