WWE Intercontinental Championship
A very underrated feud has been the ongoing saga between Dean Ambrose and Baron Corbin, who will do battle at WrestleMania 33 for the Intercontinental Championship. Unlike year’s past, this title will be one-on-one and not a multi-person contest. I like it, but it is missing something. Last year, we had a Ladder Match, a Hell in a Cell and a No Holds Barred Street Fight. This would be a great match to have happen more outside of the ring than inside. Let Ambrose vs. Corbin be a No Disqualification match, giving both guys the opportunity to be creative and more aggressive.
Dean Ambrose is great IC Title material, but Baron Corbin needs this much more. A heel like him is deserving of his first championship win at WrestleMania and what better way than a guy who fought Brock Lesnar a year ago? Dean is safe, protected in his face persona because the fans love his crazy attitude. I am not one of those fans and this match could be the beginning of a heel turn. Dean is much better when he has more creative freedom, more attitude and more arrogance to him.
Baron Corbin is ready. After impressive matches against AJ Styles, John Cena and Randy Orton, now is the time for WWE to invest in “The Lone Wolf.” If WWE wants this match to mean something, give the title to Corbin and make it a gimmick match. It is that simple.
