More Lost Storylines and Wasted Talents

Well, The Shining Starts with Titus O’Neil took on The Golden Truth with Mark Henry. Yeah, because any of these guys make sense. Golden Truth picked up the win. Earlier in the night, Curtis Axel cut a hometown promo and counted on the crowd to carry him over a victory against Bo Dallas. That did not happen, as Dallas picked up the win.

Remember when Curtis Axel was IC Champion? Remember when he was a “Paul Heyman Guy?” Out of all of these talents, I think Axel can still be something. Bo Dallas’ aggression is a nice change of pace, but his storylines are bland and uninteresting. The tag team match did nothing for me and using Titus O’Neil like this baffles me. He is about himself, which he has said multiple times. Yet, he comes out and tries to help Primo and Epico. Huh? What in the world is going on with all of these lackluster pieces? For the love of God, do something to save the fans from 15 minutes (back to back) of garbage. Creative lacks creative with guys like this.

Swann Shines, Strowman Strays

Rich Swann picked up a surprise win over Brian Kendrick on WWE RAW, after what was a very fun and entertaining match. Out of all of the Cruiserweights we have seen so far, Swann is the most developed “gimmick” that they have. We know Kendrick is a little weird and the veteran, while TJP is the champion who comes out to Nintendo music. Cedric Alexander is going to be special, but we are not sure what his persona is. Tony Nese is a clone of Neville, while Drew Gulak is a brawler with the agility of high-flyers. Rich Swann is flamboyant and entertaining, but not too over the top. He comes off naturally charismatic and not trying to do too much too soon.

Braun Strowman gave Chris Jericho his list back (more on that on the next page) and then comes out to fight Sami Zayn. Zayn comes out and tries to take down Strowman, but to no avail. Braun walks out before the match actually starts, right after tossing Sami into the barricade. Whether you like it or hate it, they are giving Strowman time and giving him something more than a squash. It is unclear where they are heading in his feud with Sami Zayn. These two segments were not bad, gave us something more to look forward to and kept some suspense.
