Isenberg Reacts: WWE RAW “Shock Waves Through The Universe Equals Excellent Television”

WWE Universal Championship Shocker

The main event carved 30 plus minutes of a pretty solid edition of WWE RAW. This could go down as one of the best Fatal Four Way matches I have seen on RAW in many, many years.

Big Cass dominated with boots early and often, only to get hit with a kick and then a Frog Splash from Kevin Owens. The match continues with all men and Roman Reigns dominated until Seth Rollins flashed his brilliance. Reigns would clean the ring with Superman Punches and then a Spear. Owens superkicked Rollins and then hit Cannonballs to Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. He got hit with a punch, but kicked out at two. Falcon Arrow and a Pedigree, but Roman Reigns kicks out. It spills to the outside and Triple H appears out of nowhere and hits a Pedigree onto Roman Reigns. He throws Reigns back into the ring and Seth. Seth Rollins covers him and it is down to Rollins and Owens. Triple H is back in the ring and turns on Seth Rollins, hitting a Pedigree and telling Kevin Owens to cover him. Kevin Owens is the new Universal Champion.

Wow. This became one of the best ending of RAW in recent memory. Yes, it was better than some big post WrestleMania moments. Triple H coming back was needed and immediately helped so many guys in this match. He turns on Seth Rollins, who NEEDS to be a face and carry the company in that aspect. Kevin Owens needed the win, needed a boost and needed the opportunity to show why he is so damn good. IC Title feuds mean nothing.

Kevin Owens’ era begins, thanks to a turn of Triple H. His acting and surprised look was perfect. YES, KEVIN OWENS KNEW HE WAS GOING TO WIN. DON’T BE STUPID, MARKS.

Thank you, Houston. You made this moment EPIC. The reaction and the energy for three hours gave us so much to enjoy. The writing was there and the storylines now have so many questions that need answers. I will also say this: Michael Cole, Corey Graves and Byron Saxton KILLED it on commentary. They made this feel like the most shocking moment in history, which it could be. Not many people were talking about Triple H returning. I am glad I was wrong on CSR this past week, considering how WWE books their champions. KO deserves it and get ready for an unpredictable few months. That is what fans want.
