Intense Championship Feud

Lashley and Galloway are in the ring talking about what happened last week when Dixie Carter announces the TNA World Heavyweight Championship match for Slammiversary, where there will be a winner by knockout or tapout. Drew Galloway leaves and Lashley calls him out for backing out of a fight. Galloway comes back and hits Claymore Kick and begins to attack Lashley. When the referees separate them, Lashley takes over and beats down the champion. He hits a spear and then begins to choke out Galloway.

I love how TNA is actually letting both men be natural and be themselves. If one guy LOOKS like he could stand toe to toe in a fight with Lashley, it is a guy built like Galloway. He is tall, has added plenty of muscle and size since his departure from WWE and looks tough. I have really gotten interested in seeing how this continues to develop for the next few weeks. What else can they pull out of these two? Keep it very natural and organic, not overexposing both men on a consistent basis.

Stealing From A Wolf

Eddie Edwards, Trevor Lee and DJ Z put on one hell of an Ultimate X Division match for the championship. Exactly what you thought would happen happened. There were plenty of great spots, fast moves and exciting displays of athleticism. Eddie hit a big kick to stop Trevor Lee from scaling the rope. Edwards grabbed the title, but the referee was distracted by Helms. Trevor Lee snatches the title as the referee turns around and calls for the bell.

Lee is an excellent heel. He is so talented and his skill set is usually made for a face, but the way he continues to steal and win matches is really good. Helms has added another layer of his character and the heel tactics live or die by the veteran from North Carolina. When you see all of this X-Division talent, you have to wonder who will face the champion at Slammiversary. I say it should be a multi-man match with it coming down to Edwards and Trevor Lee. Keep the drama there and add pieces around it to enhance it from just a simple one-on-one contest.

A Forgettable Main Event

Jeff Hardy had to beat Tyrus and Rockstar Spud to get a match against Matt Hardy at Slammiversary. In a Ladder Match, it looked like Tyrus would pick up the win. Instead, he broke the ladder climbing up to it. Spud tries his luck, but Jeff is able to hit a Twist of Fate and climb up to pick up the victory.

It did not seem like a big task rather than a big joke. Tyrus breaking the ladder is basically your big spot of the match that changes everything? I just did not really enjoy the final moments of this match and wanted to see more of a Ladder Match feel to it. Give me a few moments where Spud and Hardy used their athleticism.
