Dana Brooke Debuts
Can you say MONEY? That is the first word when I see Dana Brooke in WWE because she has such incredible marketability. First off, she is a naturally tough and strong woman, dating back to her bodybuilding days. Her athleticism and look will translate much easier than some model. Second, I just love how real she is in the ring and outside of it. She has the look, the intensity and the cocky attitude to really take her places.
With the looks of 1995 Sunny and the physique of 2000’s Chyna, Dana Brooke could become one of the most hated, loved and polarizing women in the WWE. She picked up a win against Becky Lynch in a very basic match. Keep her fighting to a minimum and slowly build her up. I think her and Emma make a really interesting pair. The technicality of Emma and the power of Dana could provide for some really interesting storylines with both women. Dana will only get better.
Aiden English defeated Kofi Kingston
English and Kingston had a really good and smooth match. English took the early advantage with some strikes and then a few nice takedowns. Kofi connects with the Boom Drop, but Simon Gotch distracts Kofi. Kofi hits a diving splash to the back of English for a two count. Gotch & The New Day are ejected from ringside, which allows Kofi to get another near fall. English rolls Kofi over’s flip and holds onto the ropes to pick up the victory.
There will be a time where Aiden English is a solid singles star, but him and Gotch are just so good together. They play off of the others’ weakness and this was great examples of team work. A win was needed. WWE needs to continue to pile up win after win for the newer teams.
