AJ Styles and Kingston lock up. AJ Styles chops Kofi in the chest and hits a backbreaker. Styles leapfrogs over Kofi and lands a dropkick. It is all AJ, as he flies to theoutside and hits Woods. Kingston is able to slow things down a bit with an armbar and sends Styles into the turnbuckle. Kofi stomps on Styles chest and stomps a mud hole in him. He follows up with a dropkick and then Styles counters with a jaw breaker.

Kofi goes for a flying elbow drop, but Styles counters with a big back body drop. Styles unloads with some offense, but Kofi is about to hit SOS for a two count. He sets up Trouble in Paradise, but gets hit with a Pele Kick. At this point, Styles is thrown to the outside and the referee tosses out The New Day. Kofi is upset, which allows Styles to hit his patented forearm from the ropes to pick up the win.

Really smooth and exciting action between Styles and Kingston tonight, putting a spotlight more on The New Day’s best athlete inside the ring. Yes, they have gotten over by their antics but it is certainly refreshing to see WWE give good time for a singles match with Kofi and AJ. I think it brought a lot out of both men and displayed two guys who get how to work at a fast and effective rate. I really enjoyed this and was refreshing to see a more athletic, fast and technically sound match over The New Day completely overshadowing the ring work with their outside antics. Yes, Woods and Big E still did their thing, but it did not take much away from the “wrestling” part.
