Isenberg Reacts: Impact Wrestling “Ladies Lockdown, Spud Shines”

Beer Money defeated Bram and Eric Young

A great tag team match inside six sides of steel kicked off Impact Wrestling. The action picked up when Roode hit a Block Buster to Young. Storm and Bram brawl when they begin to climb the cage. He hits a neckbreaker and then a double suplex is interrupted when Bram attacks. He throws James Storm into the cage face first. EY hits a flying elbow and it looks like the heels are in full control. James connects with an enziguri and a cross body. Young counters a DWI with a big kick to Storm and then hits a belly to belly suplex to Bobby Roode. Going back and forth, Beer Money are able to hit a double suplex and then the DWI on Bram to secure the victory.

Beer Money picks up the win in a hard-hitting brawl. This is exactly what the match needed to be, aside from Beer Money winning. I understand that they are the faces and the crowd popped for them but Bram/Young needed the victory more. They are the young team that has not solidified themselves in the division. I really think this is a missed opportunity for TNA to bring a legit team from nowhere to the top immediately. Maybe, just maybe, next week or the week after TNA can develop something more detailed for them to keep them relevant. A win was needed for them, but the match itself should not be overshadowed specifically on that. Solid efforts and hard work from all four talents.

Why is Odarg getting pushed over Eli?

I really can’t explain their obsession with this guy. I am not saying he is not a good wrestler, but I just do not see why they continue to push him over guys that look and are the part. Eli Drake has a great look, one that shows you he has been around the block and his physical features match up to some really great wrestlers. It is not like he is a model coming to the ring and has no background. The guy can go, so what is the problem? Eli and Jesse could really be something great, if given the opportunity. What I see in this match is TNA trying to push a comedy act over a more serious and developed performer in TNA.
