Triple H and Sting
Triple H talks about being in the WWE for 20 years and his life work was almost taken away by Sting. He says that the face of WCW, the company that he helped destroy, is now trying to hurt him. Triple H says that Sting stayed away for 14 years because Triple H says he would expose him. Triple H says that he takes his shot and attacks like a coward. Triple H calls himself a man and calls him out at WWE Fast Lane.
Triple H wants an answer and wants it now. Sting’s music hits and the lights go out. Lights go out and spotlights are around the arena. A video package appears with Sting’s face paint covering Triple H’s face. A man that looks like Sting is in the ring. He disappears and Sting’s video says that he accepts.
Perfect. WWE got creative. They used the spotlight to tease his appearance. The video package was creative, but did not show him live. I loved it. It was so simple, yet complex at the same time. Tease it. Keep teasing him in the WWE ring. They will confirm Sting/Triple H in two weeks. Best for business.
Tag Team Contenders in Action
Jimmy and Jey work on Tyson Kidd with some chops. Kidd gets a kick in and then Jimmy tries to fly to the outside. Kidd catches him with his legs in the air and tosses him to the outside. Nattie and Naomi argue on the outside, which prompts a commercial break.
Cesaro is in control after the break with Jey. He hits a few uppercuts and then Kidd gets in. After some distractions, Jey goes up top. Cesaro pushes him off the rope and Kidd picks up the win.
It was not the smoothest match I have ever seen, but the ending was exactly what was needed. I would love to see this at Mania, but it will most likely be pushed to WWE Fast Lane. There was too much concentration on what was happening on the outside.
