Regardless of What You Think, It’s Gotta Suck to Be Paul Levesque

stephanie mcmahonThe thing I often wonder about is where Stephanie is during all this. What does she actually think about the situation and how does she handle herself? She is perhaps in a scorching fire hotter than even her husband! The Stephanie that I worked with at the WWE, was just as respectful as Triple H. She never once played the bosses daughter card with me. Never once. Back at that time, like Hunter, she would just listen, and gather, listen and gather, never once offering any input when it wasn’t called for. I can’t imagine the position that she perhaps finds herself in.

At night, when the two put the kids down and go to bed, do they talk about what they would actually do differently if they were ultimately in charge? Are they frustrated? Does Stephanie defend Vince which causes her husband to clam up, or, is it Stephanie who is there ensuring Triple H that their day will indeed come. What is it?

That, we will never know, however what I do know is this: the only two people who are in a position to turn the WWE around from its lowest rating of the year this past Monday are Stephanie McMahon and Paul Levesque. For starters, there is nobody else in that company who dare have the Spaldings to stand up to the boss, because if there was, that person already would have. In wrestling everybody fears for their job, and the vast majority are just there to secure both their paycheck and spot. Nobody is going to rock the boat, nobody. You would assume that at some point Vince has to listen to his daughter, and son-in-law, he has to trust them, right? Well, I would think so. If you don’t trust your own family then who’s left to trust?

I don’t know, Hunter. When you all talk about what’s best for business, is it time for you to take your balls in your hand and just do what you have to do, and say what you have to say? What is Vince going to do? Fire you? Fire his daughter? Turn his back on the grandkids?! Right now you may be the only guy who has the talent, and the position, to make wrestling better. But still, either way, it’s got to be miserable to be in your shoes. I certainly don’t envy you.
