The Veterans of TNA
With every young guy, there needs to be some mentor. TNA has plenty of main event guys on their roster. These guys include champion Bobby Roode, Lashley, Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, Samoa Joe, Austin Aries and James Storm. I want to see these guys continue to carry the company into a new part of their history, but they need more.
Who in the free agent talent pool can TNA get? Everyone will immediately say CM Punk, but that is not going to happen. He would move the needle for the internet world, but I highly doubt that he would want to come to a company that hasn’t grown enough over the past decade to sign with a major television company. So, what are their options? They could try and get guys like McIntyre, Benjamin or other former WWE stars to try and get some attention, but they have been there way too many times.
My opinion: Have an off season of a month in December and regroup. Launch new personas for the young guys and see which ones stick immediately. I really want this company to succeed, even though I think TNA has done so much wrong over the course of the past 5 years. There is not many people outside of the company that can make a massive splash. Kurt Angle made a big splash. What happened after? Not much changed. You have feuds that can continue, such as Lashley and Roode.
With old feuds come new ones. Who will take full control and become something more than just a piece in the TNA game? Who benefits most, if TNA goes through with their “To Be Continued…” line to end Impact. GIVE ME AN OFFSEASON. It can only help this company regroup and focus on making money, not losing it.
The question remains: Will TNA survive? A new TV deal helps, but does not guarantee success.
CUT SALARY… CUT THE FAT. IT’S SIMPLE. WEED OUT GUYS WHO ARE ONLY THERE FOR A PAYCHECK.
