Rusev defeated Heath Slater
Lana cuts a promo on Kim Kardashian and teases a photo of her topless. She shows Putin topless on a horse and out comes Heath Slater. He is dressed like Uncle Sam. Rusev kicks him and makes him tap out immediately.
I loved the promo from Lana, which crossed sports entertainment with the tabloids. Lana needs to tease herself more to the WWE Universe. She is money, just money.
I liked the promo. Even though Rusev should NOT be on Team Authority, it does make him feel more important in the grand scheme of things. He needs to dominate at Survivor Series, similar to what Reigns did at Royal Rumble.
Stephanie McMahon Manipulates Sheamus and Big Show
Stephanie tries to lure Big Show to Team Authority by saying that she will induct him into the WWE Hall of Fame. Big Show says no and out comes Sheamus. Stephanie McMahon teases that Sheamus could be deported without a visa and then makes Sheamus vs. Show for tonight, with the opportunity to fight for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
Big Show chops Sheamus and he fights back quickly. Tempers get the better of the two men and they begin to slug away. We head to a commercial break with Big Show getting the upper hand. Big show tries for a chokeslam and Sheamus kicks him to the mat. Sheamus smacks him with ten chops to the chest. Big Show scoop slam and an elbow drop give him a big upper hand. He hits three more and continues the assault. Sheamus hits a few clotheslines and then a high running knee. Big Show counters with a boot to the face. Big Show spears Sheamus in the air with a spear and then tries to hit a chokeslam.
Sheamus hits a White Noise for yet another two count. Big Show connects with a chokeslam and Sheamus comes back with an electric chair. Rusev and Mark Henry come out and cause a disqualification. They take out both men. Henry slams Sheamus through the announce table while Rusev applies the Accolade.
The match was slow and methodical between two partners. I liked the pacing and liked how both men really fought hard to get the win. The ending was perfect. Team Authority continues to take out members of Team Cena. One of the small things I liked was that Mark Henry and Rusev were not in the same ring together and did not celebrate as a team. Something that small would have bothered me to no end. Anyways, another understandable and logical finish to this match.
