What happened to this guy?
At SummerSlam, Swagger was the hottest act on the card. Everyone in the building was doing the “WE THE PEOPLE!” chant, hoping he’d kick Rusev’s Russian rear. He’s finally at a point in his career that people WANT to cheer for him. So…where is he!?
Swagger and Zeb Colter are too good as a duo to waste. Even in a mid-card program for the U.S. or Intercontinental title, or in a tag team, or even chasing around the stupid Bunny, there’s money to be made from them on television.
RYBACK
On Smackdown they’ll tease Ryback joining the Authority for Survivor Series. I think that’s a gigantic mistake.
As a heel, the fans are only going to chant “Goldberg!” at him again. There’s not enough there for him to get over as a villain, and WWE just doesn’t push the envelope to the extent necessary for me to see him as a true, unstoppable killing machine. He COULD have been Goldberg, but they cut his legs out two years ago.
Fans actually like Ryback. He was over when he first got to WWE’s main roster, and was over when he came to the aid of Mick Foley. He was over against CM Punk, and until they turned him heel, he was actually making progress getting people behind him. Since then, he’s been a lower-card act, taken in and abandoned by Paul Heyman, which only further emphasizes the point that WWE doesn’t want to utilize him.
Put him on Team Cena. He’d be a great counter to Kane, or Mark Henry, or whichever big man the Authority gets to fill their ranks. Fans want to chant “Feed Me More!” and “Ryback Rules”, so let them!
