Team Teddy vs. Team Johnny
This match was a big group of heels versus a group of faces. It was a spot match with very little flow to the match. The end of the match saw Sheamus hitting a Brogue Kick and they Jey hitting a splash onto Sandow for the win.
It was just not a great match and had too many guys involved. The best part of the match was when all of the guys hit their finishers and Bo Dallas celebrates too long in the ring. He ends up getting a Brogue Kick as well.
This shows you that the 15th anniversary of Smackdown means NOTHING to WWE. They just wanted to throw some guys together and write very simplistically. I did enjoy seeing Johnny and Teddy jaw back and forth again. It was a nice nostalgic touch to a show that was pretty uninteresting.
MizTV with Dean Ambrose and John Cena
John Cena says Ambrose does what the people have been calling for.
Cena talks about how Dean Ambrose will make him earn a win at Hell In A Cell. The Miz says Cena was pretty convincing and he asks Ambrose if he really thinks he could win. Ambrose says yep. John Cena says he’ll see Ambrose at Hell In A Cell, but Miz says he can’t leave yet and they are supposed to fight each other right now.
He says the ratings will go up and the people want to see a fight, then Cena says they want a fight, but they don’t want to see them fight each other. Cena says they want Ambrose and Cena to fight Miz, then they both attack Miz and Cena sets up for an Attitude Adjustment. Cena instead throws Miz to Ambrose, who connects with a double underhook DDT, and Cena hits an AA to Ambrose to close the show.
NO.NO.NO. WWE is screwing this up. I agree that adding John Cena to this feud with Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins may be the best thing to give them a huge spotlight while Brock Lesnar takes a month off, but they are really trying to add him in a feud that has not delivered a big payoff match. Is it too late for it? No, but WWE has been dragging Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose for way too long. I will be completely happy if WWE does the right thing and give us Ambrose vs. Rollins inside Hell in a Cell. I just fear that WWE will not let John Cena lose to Dean Ambrose clean and then he gets a cheap win without harming your cash cow in Cena.
The segment here was really good. Cena and Ambrose are so different that it works on the mic. The Miz in the middle and trying to get these guys to fight annoyed me. He is not important and needed to just shut up and let Ambrose and Cena fight one another.
