The Wolves Pick up a Ladder Match Victory
The third match of the series features a Ladder Match. The Wolves use the ladder to hit Matt Hardy and Bully Ray. They knock down Devon and Jeff hits Whisper in the Wind into the ladder. The Hardy’s use the ladders and Eddie hits a hurricanranna onto Matt. Bully puts the ladder on his neck and cheers to the crowd. 3D attacks their opponents with multiple ladder shots. Devon hits the flying headbutt from the top of the ladder. Team 3D tries to grab the tables and Matt Hardy knocks them down.
After a commercial break, all teams throw caution to the wind. Bully hits a powerbomb, which catapults the ladders into the face of Matt and Eddie. As Bully climbs the ladder, The Wolves hit a double powerbomb. Matt hits a Twist of Fate onto Eddie Edwards. More offense ensues when both Hardy’s hit a Moonsault and a Twist of Fate in stereo. Later on, tables comes into play. The Wolves grab chairs and Eddie hits his foot stomp as Davey holds a chair on his back. Davey hits a foot stomp and Matt crashes through the table. Jeff Hardy heads up the ladder and Davey makes Jeff crash onto the ladder. Eddie is up and grabs the titles to even the score.
Tag Team Wrestling is what TNA does best. 6 men who know how to work in multiple scenarios and executes their moves with seemingly ease. I loved this match because there were so many big moments and none of them overshadowed the other. When you have a set of tag teams that continue to get better in a series like this, you can only sit back and enjoy as a professional wrestling fan. Wow. I continue to ask myself how they are going to top the previous match. They keep doing it.
Bram defeated Gunner
Samuel Shaw comes out early in the match to make sure Gunner is okay. Bram drives Gunner’s leg onto the steel steps and then works away at his ankle. Gunner fight back with a clothesline and a forearm shot. He tries to hit a powerbomb, but his leg gave out on him. Bram ducks and Sam Shaw hits Gunner. Bram throws Shaw to the outside and gets a win, thanks to Sam Shaw’s accidental hit on Gunner.
Gunner and Samuel Shaw continue to add some feud to their odd friendship. Will this hurt or help Gunner? Does anyone care about Samuel Shaw right now? I wish I did, but he is just very generic and dumbed down right now. We used to have depth in his character, but TNA stripped him of what made him interesting. Gunner used to be hot on this roster. With this feud, he is cooling down and is more of a mid card talent. There is nothing wrong with that, but I feel like he could be so much more.
