Wrestlezone’s Top 10 Greatest Money in the Bank Ladder Match Performers

#2 – Kane

kaneThe Devil's favorite demon is an absolute marvel – how a guy his size, at his age, can be operating at his level of consistency after 20 years in the business is perhaps the biggest medical mystery ever. Kane brought his massive size and strength to the very first Money in the Bank match, using ladders to destroy Chris Benoit's arm, and surprising the fans with strangely graceful top rope dives. Since then he has become something of a staple of the match, chokeslamming people through ladders, on top of ladders, over ladders, and even putting an end to Big Show's "super ladder". He is a former "Bank" winner – cashing in that very night to become World Heavyweight Champion – and will participate in his seventh match tonight on PPV.

#1 – Shelton Benjamin

An entrant in five out of the first six Money in the Bank ladder matches, the "gold standard" is by far the biggest show-stealer in the gimmick's history. Springboard sentons, dragon whips, flapjacks, corner splashes, suplexes, clotheslines – all using a ladder; and that's just the first Money in the Bank match… Benjamin was so good in this type of match, he was the only guy who could out-do himself, although many tried. Following up on his impressive first time, the second year Shelton busted out a sunset flip powerbomb, over the top of a ladder! How do you improve on greatness? A sunset flip double powerbomb, obviously! Let's not forget the time he jumped off a 20-foot ladder, taking out seven other guys on the floor below. You can argue about which Money in the Bank ladder match was best – and there are certainly a lot of fantastic choices – but in terms of who pulled out all the big spots, and who made fans look forward to the gimmick each and every year, Shelton Bejamin resigns supreme at the top of the pack.
