Title This: Impact Wrestling Reaction “Great Matches, Who Do Fans Cheer For?”

The Main Events

impact wrestling reactionMVP defeated Austin Aries

Both men worked pretty smooth in this match. Aries took the early advantage until MVP hit a "Ballin Elbow." A discus forearm helps Aries get back on top. MVP hits a release German Suplex after reversing the Brainbuster. Aries elevates MVP and releases him on his head. Aries heads to the top for the 450 splash, but misses. MVP gets up and hits a big boot to the head for the win.

This was a pretty entertaining match, but I wonder why MVP picked up the victory here. I would have much rather seen these guys on a PPV than free television. Aries and MVP have similar styles in the ring, in terms of physicality. Aries is more athletic and more technical, but I give credit to MVP because he has tweaked his game enough to stay fresh in the ring. Well done from both men.

Booby Roode and James Storm defeated Gunner and Bully Ray

Bully Ray gets the offense going for his team by hitting clotheslines and body slams onto Storm. Gunner gets the tag and works on Storm's arm. Roode gets met with three clotheslines and a body press. Gunner tags in Bully Ray and they double team Roode. Things turn around quickly, as Roode hits multiple kicks and punches to Ray. He hits an elbow to the chest and gets a two count. The faces get back on the offensive, as Bully Ray calls Gunner to hit a flying headbutt from the top. That was old school Dudley Boys, and Gunner heads out to get a table. Bully Ray crashes through a table, missing an elbow drop. Gunner hits a DDT onto Roode, but Storm hits Last Call for the win.

Excellent match. The heels needed the win here, which they did. I really loved the physicality between all four guys. I can watch these guys work any day. Ray continues to evolve into a beloved face, as James Storm is such a believable heel. I just want consistency from these guys, not flipping between heel and face.

Abyss defeated Magnus by Disqualification

Abyss and Magnus fight for another 6-7 minutes until Magnus kicks him in the groin. Magnus, upset at losing the title, hits Abyss in the back with a chair multiple times. Eric Young comes out and he gets a low blow. He hits Young in the back again and again.

So, Abyss is now a face again? Why is Eric Young trying to save a guy who put him through hell last week and the past few months? This makes NO SENSE! Get it together, TNA. Make a decision on who you want as a heel and who you want as your face. Quite frankly, fans are not sure who to cheer and boo. That is an issue.
