30 Years of WrestleMania: Wrestlezone’s Top 10 Superstars to Headline the Showcase of the Immortals

#3 – Shawn Michaels

shawn michaelsOf course you can't have a list about WrestleMania without "Mr. WrestleMania". Whether it was Bret Hart, Triple H, Chris Jericho, or the Faces of Fear way back in 1991, Shawn Michaels found a way to make a name for himself and, as his nickname would suggest, "steal the show" on the biggest stage of the year.

All of those matches that made Shawn Michaels a world champion and one of the best ever put him on this list by default. But it's the two matches at the very end of his career that place him in the top three. And they are both against this man…

#2 – The Undertaker

Look, the Undertaker is 21-0 at WrestleMania. I don't even have a choice in the matter – he has to be #2 on this list. Nobody has ever come close to that achievement. Although to be fair, it wasn't until YEARS into his career that any of his matches were any good. No disrespect to one of the best legacies in wrestling, but the Deadman definitely got better with age.

We are now at the point, and have been for the last ten years or so, where people buy WrestleMania to see The Undertaker beat people. We all know he's going to win. But somehow, in the midst of all the drama, those matches bring you to the edge of your seat. Can Shawn do it? Can Triple H do it? Can CM Punk do it? No. They couldn't. And you knew they couldn't. But once that bell rings, anything seems possible.
