The Undercard
John Cena defeated Damien Sandow in somewhat easy work. WWE Raw Reaction starts off with John Cena and Damien Sandow. You saw Sandow garner some offense in the early going, but it was basically for Cena to overcome and pick up the victory. He hit a tornado DDT from the top rope, something that looked really impressive coming from him. People can criticize him, and they have every right to, but the guy is slowly adding pieces to his offense and doing everything to get better in the ring. Things just seem more complete when Cena is around. The only thing I could not get out of my mind is that this lasted longer than Khali vs. Sandow, which is a complete joke.

Kofi Kingston defeated Randy Orton with the biggest surprise of the year. I would've bet my entire pay check on Kingston losing to an RKO. The bigger part of the story is that Randy Orton would go and attack Cena's dad in the crowd. Haven't we seen enough of John Cena's dad being involved in a storyline? Sorry, but this shows me that WWE does not really care about building this feud up in an interesting manner. Instead, they will let the names or Orton and Cena speak more than the actions between them leading up to Royal Rumble.

The Big Show defeated Jack Swagger. With no Paul Heyman or Brock Lesnar in sight, there is not much else for Show to do on Raw. I would have much rather seen him and Heyman battle on the microphone, talk about their history and discuss the match in two weeks. There is so much history between Heyman, Lesnar and Big Show that WWE would use. They could have shown Survivor Series over a decade ago with both men. They could've showed Paul Heyman helping Show win the ECW Championship. They really missed a golden opportunity for more of the story to develop from past actions.
