The Main Events
Bobby Roode defeated Kurt Angle in an excellent main event match. Roode and Angle fought tough and hard for about 17 minutes total. After a commercial break, Kurt escaped a submission hold and hit 5 Rolling German Suplexes. Roode was able to reverse an ankle lock and applied his crossface. Roode puts on one of the best submission holds in all of TNA because it looks like he is really wrenching the neck of Angle. Angle sells the move to perfection as well. Angle hits an Angle Slam and grabs at his shoulder. The match continues to the point where Roode is up top and Angle runs up the post and hits a huge slam from the top. Angle ends up on the mat without movement. The match has to be stopped and Roode is declared the winner.
I wonder what the overall storyline will be with Kurt Angle. It seems like he has a storyline or a real event where he is consistently hurt. The guy never puts on a bad match and his body has gone through hell over the handful of years. I will say this; the tournament is a really good idea to give exposure to many talents at once.
