Title This: WWE Raw Reaction September 30, 2013

-Paul Heyman comes out and hits another home run. He "proposes" to Ryback, which looks like a marriage proposal. Instead, he proposes for him to be one of his guys. Ryback accepts and actually does a solid job at making this uncomfortable. It is all about the little things in this segment that made it great, including the look on Heyman's face when Ryback talks and Ryback touching Heyman's face afterwards. I also loved how he got down on one knee and grabbed his hand.

After this, CM Punk's music hit and he came through the crowd. He faked a knee injury and attacked Heyman and Ryback. Axel would try to make the save but would get hit with a GTS from Punk. CM Punk stood tall heading into WWE Battleground. I still think Punk loses this match and continues his spiral downwards, figuratively speaking. If Ryback loses, what is the point of him with Heyman? If Ryback wins, no matter how it is, you get more Heyman and Punk. This is what they need right now while they figure out all of the other storylines. This is consistently good television.

Grade: B+

Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan ended the show cutting promos on one another about their match at Battleground. Orton continues to improve on his heel persona. It seems like he never lost it, but slide it to the side for a year or two. Orton and Bryan start exchanging blows until Randy gets the upper hand. He taps into his inner self and really works over Bryan. Brie Bella comes out and yells for Randy Orton to stop. He hits a hanging DDT onto Bryan to the outside. He then hits an RKO through the table. This ends Raw.

It was simple and effective. WWE does not need to do much more for this match because the work in the ring will be top notch. The personal beef is there now with the inclusion of Brie Bella. I just wish she is not a HUGE part of the storyline. She is a piece, no doubt, but should be a small piece in a story that hasn't lacked any relevant details.
