Number 1: Nobody is More Important Than The McMahon Family
The beginning of the event started with Triple H (who I am considering a part of the McMahon Family for obvious reasons) discussing the event. Even though he really had no impact on the show itself, you knew that he needed to be seen and heard. Whether it is adding a championship match or having the end of the night carry over so he can make jurisdiction on it on Raw, Triple H made sure that Night of Champions began and ended with his name in mind. We left wondering “what will Triple H and Stephanie do tomorrow to Daniel Bryan?” Is Bryan feuding with Orton? No. Is he feuding with the Triple H regime as a whole? Yes. WWE is trying so hard to recreate Austin vs. McMahon. Sadly enough, it will never be better. You are comparing apples to oranges. The product is completely different 15 years later. I am enjoying this storyline and feel that it will only get better, but there will have to be some nights that need to be focused on your full-time talent. An event like Night of Champions could involve pieces of Triple H, but I felt like the whole night was surrounding him and how he runs the company. With his involvement with Axel, Triple H should have stepped away and let Brad Maddox deal with that. The Game is not needed in a storyline that involves Paul Heyman.
