Wrestlezone’s Top 10: WCW Superstars

5. Lex Luger

From the early 1990's, Lex Luger was a guy in WCW that would build himself up in every single way possible. With injuries to Sting, Luger would step away from a mid card championship contender and went right up to facing Ric Flair. Luger and Flair would fight in excellent bouts across the country that year. In the final match of the feud, a few months later at the only Capital Combat event ever, Luger would win via disqualification in a cage match against Flair. He would not hold the world title and would go back to fighting for the US Title. He built himself back up and turned heel at The Great American Bash, piledriving Barry Windham to capture his first World Heavyweight Championship in WCW. After his stint in WCW, he briefly appeared in WWE. After a few years with Vince, Lex went back to WCW and appeared at the Mall of America during the very first WCW Nitro. After that, the rest is history. Luger cemented himself from the early days of WCW to the later days. His impact on that company may not have been universal, but Luger's legacy is remember by the sheer impact he had when he was wrestling for that company.
