7. Big Van Vader
Although Vader signed with WCW in 1990, his impact did not come until 1992. A man who weighed over 400 pounds should not be able to do moves off the top rope like a Cruiserweight. Nobody told him that, as Vader would defy the odds time and time again in WCW. On July 12, 1992, Vader would defeat Sting at The Great American Bash to become the new World Heavyweight Champion. The reign was shortened because of injury, giving him only 3 weeks as champion. After countless bouts with Ron Simmons, as well as Sting, Vader would regain the title and really put a footnote in the history books. It was not until he incredible feud with Ric Flair, which was thrown together because of Sid Vicious' situation, that Vader would be seen as a top guy for a long period of time. No longer was Vader a transitional champion. He solidified his spot in the main event for several years. When you think of his impact on WCW, Vader was one of the true monsters in the ring that was not like a stationary body. He was able to work with many talents, keep pace with them, and showcase his incredible abilities in the ring. The only other guy with his size and athleticism would be Bam Bam Bigelow. Big Van Vader had the look, the skill, and the dominance in WCW. It was time, it was Vader time..time…time..time…
