Triple H defeated Brock Lesnar in a No Holds Barred Match
Reaction:
This was not the match that everyone was so excited to see. After all of the emotion from the crowd drained, this should NOT have been right after Undertaker/Punk. You desperately need the crowd to get some of their excitement and emotions back. I actually thought this match was really good. It was much better than Summerslam. Brock Lesnar needed to look dominant, but not win. That is tricky to do. WWE pulled it off. The match was all about battle of wills, battle of heart, and who was determined to win. Lesnar was in control until the action went to the outside. HBK tried to interfere, but was subjected to an F-5. He really played a small part in the match and that was alright with me. I just know that many people will forget that he was even a part of this build. It should have been Stephanie. Lesnar would get brutally beaten down late and Triple H hit a Pedigree on the Steel Steps. Apparently, that is the only way to beat Lesnar. I wanted more brutality, some blood, and the real feeling of hatred. The emotional outpour picked up late, but people will remember this for the match that had to follow another Taker classic. What does this do now? Well, Lesnar will find another target and his next feud. He will take the multiple German Suplexes and Belly to Belly's to someone else who can benefit from learning his craft. I would not be surprised if Triple H continues to make more of a full-time return. I am not saying every show, but I expect a few PPV matches for him in 2013.
