Number 5: The Undertaker vs. Triple H: Wrestlemania XXVII
Being in attendance, Triple H and The Undertaker had it all going for them at Wrestlemania 27. They started the match off in unique fashion, as both men had incredible entrances and embraced the crowd in Atlanta. After the entrances, it came down to an old school slugfest. Trips and Taker took it to one another and really had a brutal confrontation. My best memory of the match was Triple H’s move that sent the Deadman through the announcer’s table. At this point, you could easily see the pain and agony on the faces of both men. It may not have been as great as a storytelling match as the following year, but it certainly lived up to the hype. They saved a PPV from being very below average, and boosted it as one to remember.
