Number 7: The Undertaker vs. Edge: Wrestlemania XXIV
At the peak of his career, Edge was a badass. He carried Smackdown when nobody else could. With his energy, charisma and attitude, Edge was the main guy to try and snap the streak. By winning the World Heavyweight Championship, Edge would have to defend it against the man whom be cashed in on in May of 2006. Edge won that title after Undertaker won a Steel Cage Match against Batista in Pittsburgh on Smackdown. Edge was a Pittsburgh Stealer, as the heading on WWE.com read. He would hold onto it until he had to defend it against the healthy Undertaker. The match was excellent in terms of technicality and execution. They flowed so easily and the only gripe was that people never bought the fact that Edge could beat The Undertaker. “The Streak vs. The Title” worked well in so many ways and is still EXTREMELY underrated in my eyes. It was great wrestling, a long story, and a good payoff to end the night.
