Wrestlezone’s Top 10: Forgettable Wrestlemania Matches

Number 1: Big Show vs. Akebono: Wrestlemania 21

Big Show

Wrestlemania went “Hollywood.” It was the 21st Wrestlemania enamating from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. It was a card that was very intriguing. The night showcased John Cena’s first world title win, Batista’s head to head battle with Triple H, the first ever Money in the Bank Ladder Match, and an instant classic between Kurt Angle and Shawn Michaels. It was also the most forgettable and disturbing scene in the WWE. Akebono and Big Show put on sumo outfits and flopped their plus 400 pound bodies all over one another. What was the point of this? Who came up with this idea? Hollywood should feature the best, not the worst. It was an awful time for Big Show, who had to slide into a thong and have his ass out for about 10 minutes. NOBODY wanted to see this. I wish I could forget that view, but I cannot. Big Show and Akebono was a huge disappointment, and it has to be the match that everyone wishes they NEVER SAW.
