Wrestlezone’s Top 10: Breakthrough Stars of 2012

Number 3: Daniel Bryan (Paglino and Bamber’s 1st Place, Isenberg’s 3rd Place)

Daniel Bryan

This is a bit of a controversial pick for many of us. There will be arguments that Daniel Bryan broke out before 2012, specifically at the end of 2011. Nonetheless, his level of popularity grew to a huge amount that he had to be turned face. Daniel Bryan, for a certain point, had the loudest ovation in the WWE. “Yes” and “No” became the new “What” among the WWE Universe. He did not recapture a world title after losing it at Wrestlemania, but he became more popular and more likable. He would grab the WWE Tag Team Championships with Kane after becoming one of the funniest guys in the business. His backstage segments are great, and he continues to be the best wrestler inside of the ring. His evolution came full circle, and he will continue to be used in multiple ways.
