Wrestlezone’s Top 10: Pro Wrestling Stables

Number 1: N.W.O: Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, Eric Bischoff
Hulk Hogan

The New World Order started with Scott Hall and Kevin Nash leaving the WWE for WCW, becoming outsiders, and causing havoc “without a contract.” This felt so real, so intense, and the biggest splash came when Hulk Hogan turned heel at Bash at the Beach on Macho Man Randy Savage. Jaws dropped, announcers shocked, and the crowd responded. Look at the garbage in the ring. Who the hell would ever come up with the idea of Hulk Hogan being a heel? Eric Bischoff did, and it ruled professional wrestling for years to come. All three of these guys built themselves up with little help, and declared war on WCW. Nobody believed that they were a part of WCW, and that made absolute compelling television. The limos drove up, the revelation of Eric Bischoff as the leader, Sting, The Giant… The list goes on and on why this was the best stable of all time. As the stable grew bigger, all of the championships came their way. It was groundbreaking, and transition professional wrestling in a new and different way. All good things had to end, and this one did. The original NWO took the world by storm, as nothing compares to the success they had. Everyone loved being the heel, the bad guy. You cheered a heel, cheered a bad guy, and the promos certainly helped. There will never be a group like the NWO ever again.
