Wrestlezone’s Top 10: Money in the Bank Moments

Number 1: The Beginning of a Legend

Edge

The first Money in the Bank was tailor made for Edge, a guy who was so successful yet did not reach the pinnacle of his career. Edge won Wrestlemania 21’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match and completely changed his entire career. From a career mid card star, Edge solidified himself in the Main Event picture ever after. Think of this, Edge did not compete in a World Championship match at the grand stage before. He had no legit match on the big stage previously in a  one on one match. Wrestlemania 22, Edge stole the show with Mick Foley. Wrestlemania 24, Edge and Taker closed out the show. The following year, he faced Cena and Big Show for the World Heavyweight Championship. The next two years, he chased Jericho and beat Del Rio. It shows you that his career was altered after this night, and he became the Rated-R Superstar, He has won it all and done it all, and this was the biggest night of his life. Edge became more than another star. Edge became a Hall of Fame superstar with a perfect combination of speed, size, skill, and the ability to continuously adapt with any sitution. I can go on and on, but I believe we all know how great he became. The success of Edge and this match paved the way for other stars to become their own legends.
