Scott Hall/ESPN Piece
No Steps
This isn't an up or down kind of moment.
ESPN's feature on Scott Hall and his troubled past, still troubled present, and scary future was a very compelling and remarkable 15 or so minutes. It was sad and uplifting at the same time. It showed the story of a man, plain and simple, that has an addiction problem. Not to one thing, either. Like most addicts, Scott Hall is addicted, period. Fame, fortune, drinking and drugs – they are all the same to Scott Hall. To solve his addiction for one, he must replace it with another.
The positive spin ESPN tried to present with Scott helping his son Cody pursue his dream of becoming a professional wrestler was short-lived. The day after the broadcast, TMZ was already reporting that the two are estranged yet again. Kevin Nash hoped that Cody would be the anchor to help keep his father together and maybe there's still time for that. Scott Hall has to allow it though.
Hopefully, there's still time.
