Step 2: Hang Around and Get Caught
Not what you want to do if your profession is robbing banks but what you must do if you want to have a successful wrestling company. The key is to stay in business long enough to attract sponsorship, based upon your track record of success. Advertisers want to see viewing or attendance patterns and that takes time. It also goes back to Step 1 of writing everything down.
Just because you had a Boy Scout troop attend your most recent wrestling event doesn’t mean it will be a “good buy” for the Uniform Store. But, if you show that you get members of the Boy Scouts to come to your events every summer, then the Uniform Store would be crazy not to advertise. Who watches your show (or visits your store)? Who buys your product? Serious ad money comes from agencies and they want hard data to support their buys.
