#5.) Every match on the show progressed storylines
While having the occasional throwaway match is always nice, people want to watch matches that have stories – a reason to get invested in them. What WWE showed in the season premiere was that every single match on the card had a reason for happening and was either concluding a story or furthering another one.
WWE needs to get into the habit of having more matches like this with less throwaway matches simply for the sake of having them. That will be one of the biggest plus points in their programming in the long-run.
