#2.) Becky Lynch becomes “The Man”

When Becky Lynch was drafted as the first woman to SmackDown Live, the expectation was that since she was finally out of Sasha Banks and Charlotte Flair‘s shadow, she would thrive. And so, she was off to the races and within a short period of time, she would become the inaugural SmackDown Women’s Champion.

However, it would only go downhill as her role was mainly to build Alexa Bliss up as the next big star. 2017 would prove to be a huge disappointment for her as she only got one title shot and was largely ignored despite being over with the crowd. 2018 would be her breakout year but it was only in the summer when it happened.

It was a woman who decided to take the ball and run with it – and run with it she did. Her turn and change in attitude led to her becoming ‘The Man’ and winning her second SmackDown Women’s title. It would further proceed to become the greatest run any woman has ever had in WWE history as she won the Royal Rumble 2019 and eventually won in the main event of WrestleMania 35 before finally finishing her duties on SmackDown.
