This odd pairing tag team has been one that has genuinely benefited both superstars. For Nikki Cross, 2019 was turning into a rough year. Sanity had been abruptly disbanded and split across different brands, while Nikki Cross was simply left in the sidelines and not really utilized.
Then, Alexa Bliss approached her and they began to form an alliance. While it seemed like it would be a short and temporary one at first, it’s a run that’s actually worked out well for both of them. While Nikki Cross isn’t the insane character she was with Sanity, having Bliss by her side has made her largely relevant on the main roster. The two would go on to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship six days before SummerSlam and have shown a lot of promise together.
While a split is inevitable, it’s an odd pairing that has worked wonders.
