While Trish Stratus vs Charlotte Flair was always a dream match on paper, many fans didn’t expect it to deliver the way it did at SummerSlam 2019. Stratus, in front of her home country crowd, fed off their energy and had one of her career-great matches against the current top woman – Charlotte Flair.
It was a classic old generation vs the current and it served as an appropriate passing of the torch match. Stratus played her role perfectly and proved that age was no factor in slowing her down. She reminded fans why she’s still considered the greatest Women’s Champion ever and she deserved the ovation she got post-match.
