As mentioned, it’s been over two full years since AJ Styles turned babyface. It was two nights after WrestleMania 33 when AJ Styles cemented his face turn. Since then, he’s had a marvelous run, spending around half that time as WWE Champion in a record-setting second title reign.
With over 730-800 days having passed, it simply felt time for AJ Styles to have a fresh change in character. Not that he was getting stale, but the reality is that post-WWE title reign, he cooled down quite a bit as a babyface. It was a welcome change in character and one that has instantly made AJ Styles one of the hottest stars in the company again.
It could be the beginning of an incredible run.
