#4.) Baron Corbin
It’s crazy to think that at 19 minutes, this was one of the shortest MITB men’s ladder matches ever. Usually, it goes on longer, but even then, 19 minutes is not exactly a short match by any means. Nobody wanted Baron Corbin to walk out with the briefcase, but The Lone Wolfe and the former MITB winner really brought it to the table with perhaps the greatest in-ring performance of his career.
Corbin went on an absolute tear, decimating each and every opponent and even taking a fair share of punishment himself. No one expected him to have the performance that he did and even at defeat, his stock definitely rose as he proved to fans that he’s capable of a lot more than what they realize.
This is the Baron Corbin we need to see week in and week out. If it is, then we’ve got a guaranteed future Universal champion in our hands.
