#5.) The big money FOX deal

While many believed that WWE’s 5-year, $1-billion FOX deal for SmackDown meant that they would keep the brands apart completely, the opposite seems to be the case. With the big money deal in the bag, WWE may feel that they don’t need to go out of their way to keep the two brands separate.

If anything, they’ll merge the rosters because it’ll also allow many big names to consistently appear on SmackDown. While some might believe that SmackDown will go back to what it was, that may not be the case. WWE still may put a lot more emphasis on SmackDown to further storylines. Despite this, one can’t help but feel that RAW has always been the “preferred” brand backstage.
