Make no mistake about it – Ali has all the tools to be a World Champion in the future. He may not have the prototypical look, but he has the heart and he has captured the imagination of the WWE Universe. Regardless, there’s little to no chance of him winning the briefcase and neither should he hold it.
Ali has been a part of SmackDown Live for a relatively short period of time and he still has a long journey to go and a long story to tell. He’s the kind of character that requires years of build before entering the World title picture or rather, becoming World Champion. It would be far too early to push him and he’s primarily there for the spots. He can still steal the show, however.
